The National Youth Achievement Award Council is a non-profit organisation that administrates the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) in Singapore. The NYAA Council is advised by an Advisory Board chaired by Mr Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies.
The NYAA Council is chaired by Mr Eugene Seah Hsiu-Min, Global Board Member, COO (Singapore Operations), Senior Director, GCEO Office and Special Projects, Meinhardt (Singapore) Pte Ltd and NYAA Gold Award holder (1995 Cohort). It is administered by the NYAA Secretariat, which is headed by an Executive Director, Mr James Soh.
The NYAA Council is an Institute of Public Character (IPC) in Singapore. The NYAA Council serves in many government committees and non-governmental organisations in Singapore as well as in many international agencies worldwide.
The NYAA Council provides platforms to expose the young to develop hands-on and leadership skills, through coordinating opportunities to international and national projects and conferences. The council aims to nurture and grow the young through connecting the community, to becoming exceptional individuals.
The council administrates the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) in Singapore and acts as key contact points for several international and regional youth agencies and conferences.
To develop and maximise the potential of young people from 13 to 30 years old through Service Learning, Outdoor Appreciation and Healthy Living and Community Leadership Initiative, so that they may be exceptional individuals who can contribute effectively to society and the nation.
